Isto consegue ser uma iniciativa bem fixe! O mais inovador jornal cultural grátis de Amsterdão, Weekly, está a passar por uma dificuldades financeiras - perdeu os patrocinadores principais - e enquanto não arranjam novos fundos, já que querem que continue a ser grátis, estão a apelar á generosidade dos leitores. O pedido de ajuda saiu há tres edicões atrás e consiste nisto: cada página do jornal está dividida em 208 blocos, cada bloco custa 5 euros, e qualquer pessoa pode ir on-line e comprar blocos das páginas que mais gosta (ou outras quaisquer). Esperam assim aguentar durante tres edicoes. O toque de génio é que aproveitaram também esta oportunidade para alguma liberdade criativa: só os blocos que forem comprados é que vão ser impressos! O resultado é uma coisa deste género:

Os primeiros dois números já sairam e o resultado é espectacular! Caso não estejam em Amsterdão pode ser visto no site deles. E eu já tratei de adquirir uns blocos na seccao de cinema. :)

Now this is an interesting action! Amsterdam's inovative free cultural newspaper "Weekly" is having some financial problems (loss of main sponsors), and while they don't sort it out, and because they want to continue as a free paper, they are appealing for the reader generosity. They are instigating readers to buy parts of the newspaper pages they like best (or just any other): each page is divided into 209 pieces, each costing 5euros. They are hoping that wiht this they can hang on during three issue. Thay also took the opportunity to do some creative business, as only the blocks that are sold will be printed. The result can be something like what is seen above. The first two issues with reader support are out and can be seen in their website (in case you are not in amsterdam...). I already have my block's in the cinema section. :)
